A fascination with Earth's dynamic forces and the evolution of its diverse ecosystems fuels my life and career. I'm thrilled to share and care for the awe-inspiring Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem as a wildlife/naturalist guide for GOJH. You might also find me as barista at a local cafe, or working in Lift Operations at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in winter.
My path to becoming a naturalist was paved by my geology studies, earning a BS from James Madison University and an MS from the University of Kentucky. My master's thesis, focused on the Teton fault and the uplift of this magnificent mountain range, truly ignited my passion for this place. While I initially pursued a PhD at Texas A&M, my deep connection to the mountains and wild spaces drew me to make the Teton-Yellowstone region my home.
Outside of guiding, I cherish time spent with my dog, Kiwi! I also enjoy snowboarding, hiking, being by or in water, or simply going on nature walks… always with an eye out for wildlife. I'm excited to connect with you and share the wonders of this incredible part of earth.

Benji Sinclair
Guide, Educator and Zoologist by degree.
Benji worked with the Yellowstone Wolf Project.

As a child in southern New York, I had a fascination with snakes that laid the foundation for my lifetime as a wildlife biologist, naturalist and field sciences educator.
Upon completion of my BS degree in wildlife ecology, I served as a Park Biologist in Niger, West Africa and taught in Kenya with the School for Field Studies (SFS), followed by three other tours in Africa.
I earned an MS in Zoology from U. Mass., Amherst and have studied and photographed wildlife in Africa, Australia, Costa Rica, Brazil and Bhutan.
Throughout the past 35 years, I've led a career in field sciences, education and guiding in Bhutan, Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks. Sharing my knowledge of and love for the abundant mammalian mega-fauna of this spectacular area is what keeps me in a state of happiness.

Cami Burke
Guide, Environmental Scholar
Cami impressed for someone just starting out.

I have always been fascinated with the natural world, and sharing that world with others.
Hailing from Park City, Utah, I eagerly soak up any activity that brings me in closer connection to the world around me - whether that be skiing, horseback riding or hiking.
I brought this passion with me to Boston College (BC), where their motto, “Being a woman for others” stuck out to me. At BC, I was able to share my love of the outdoors with others as the president of their volunteer Outdoor Adventures program. There, I guided students on trips all over New England where we learned from and celebrated the landscape around us.
After graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies, I followed my interests in the outdoors to Jackson, Wyoming, where I now work as a Wrangler, Naturalist, and Guide. Being able to share the beauty of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem with people from all over the world is the highlight of my work and a privilege that I am grateful for every day!

I’m a Kiwi who has lived in the United States for 25 years. I spent my youth guiding trekkers on New Zealand’s Routeburn track. I loved sharing the terrain with visitors, but also came to value the familiarity with a landscape that only comes with spending a long-time in it.
At the turn of the century I followed my future wife, Sarah, to Los Angeles. Her career has taken us to Portland, Oregon, Chicago and New York; Three kids in three different states in four years! I’ve worked as a website producer, user experience designer and most importantly a “Lead Parent”. As the kids began to fledge the nest, we wanted to write a new chapter of our lives out West.
The Tetons are one of the few ranges in the Rockies as rugged and youthful as the Southern Alps of New Zealand, so Jackson was my first choice for a new home. Sarah wanted horses, great snow and a handy airport.
Picking up a creative career at the age of 50 proved surprisingly difficult, and doing my own thing became an attractive alternative. Taking over GoJH is a return to a role that I love.

Trevor Bloom
Founder, Trainer, Ecologist & PhD in progress.
Trevor has studied plant ecology in the Tetons.

Trevor is one of the few who was lucky enough to grow up in Jackson, Wyoming. He has a Masters of Science in Biology and is an active research biologist specializing in the Rocky Mountain ecosystem, but has worked in and traveled to 30 countries including most recently – Kenya to study elephants and acacia trees.
Trevor is a real people person! He is a great educator, entertainer, and has a suite of horrible guide jokes! Trevor has worked as a guide in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem for nearly a decade and is an expert in finding rare wildlife and interpreting the incredible landscape of the region.
Although he is out of the day to day operations, he is still keen to impart his knowledge and "fatherly" humor during guide training.
Fun Fact: In 2011 Trevor discovered two new species of blind spiders deep inside an uncharted cave in the Caribbean while working for the Smithsonian.

Want To Join Our Team?
Or be assured about who will be guiding you?
We welcome new team members. But, before we waste your time applying, please review this admittedly not particularly "welcoming" list of criteria for working with us:
-
Be Eligible to work in the US.
Even if we wanted to sponsor you, the competition for work visas is prohibitive. (J1s considered)
-
Have Accommodation in Jackson.
Housing is in short supply in Jackson. Van Life with a showering plan is acceptable.
-
Be 25 or Older.
If you are under 25 you will need to be an extremely personable recent grad to justify the additional expense of insuring you to drive our large SUVs.
-
Agree to a Background Check.
Best to be open about anything more serious than minor traffic violations before we run the test.
-
Have a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
Understanding science, how some facts and theories have stood the test of time and others are still being debated, is central to how we communicate about this place.
-
Spell our names correctly.
Sheesh! It has happened more than once. Attention to detail is what sets us apart.
