Here is Jackson, there are two times of the year that herald a calm in the valley rarely experienced by the outside world. November maintains a stark contrast from the busy summer and winter months, where cold temperatures and a lack of snow keep the typically active Jackson populace away from their usual outdoor activities.
I like to take this time and relish on some of the forgotten facets of this beautiful place I am blessed to call home. We have a fantastic Parks Department here that maintains the Jackson Hole Recreation Center, aka the Rec Center, that has an Olympic size swimming pool, water slide and basketball courts all for a nominal monthly fee. Its a great place to get in to shape while the snow starts piling up outside.
